Clinic with Kenneth Vansweevelt
Kenneth is a squire in the Academic Art of Riding. He returns from Belgium to bring his passion for improving the well being of horses through developing their bodies and minds. He has a special approach to the work in the knighthood and will teach us three back to back clinics Sept 27- Oct 2. You can register for one, two or three clinics. There are discounts for additional days.
Kenneth will show you a world hidden to you before by discovering a new awareness with horses. His goal is not to prepare horses for competition but to carefully develop their self awareness, muscles, balance and strength over time through systematic exercises. Kenneth says to “Be soft, ask friendly and feel deeply” to connect with your horse and inspire them to give their best.
He focuses on isolating and moving different parts of the horse to achieve connection through the spine and move the whole horse fluidly using subtle cues.
Coffee, tea and snacks are provided. You must provide your own lunch.
It’s $400 for horse/rider combos/clinic, $700 for both clinics or $1050 for all three. You will have three private 30 minute lessons over the 2 days and have one group lesson which is more of a supervised practice and opportunity for Kenneth to see if you understood your lessons. He will give feedback or guidance if necessary.
It’s $45/day or $70/for any two days for spectators. Clinic starts at 9 am both days and there is space for 6 riders. If you put horse in one clinic you can audit the other clinics at no extra charge.
